A very rare Ravenna mint follis of Justinian I

Justinian I, 527-565. Follis (Bronze, 29 mm, 12.09 g, 7 h), Ravenna, RY 34 = 560/1. D N IVSTINIANVS P P AVG Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Justinian facing, holding globus cruciger in his right hand and a shield decorated with a cavalryman riding over a fallen foe over his left shoulder; in field to right, cross. Rev. Large M with cross above; to left and right, A/N/N/O - X/X/X/IIII; in exergue, RAVEN/NA. DOC 342. MIB 233. SB 323. Very rare. The obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, good fine.

This issue was struck in the years following the reconquest of Ravenna from the Ostrogoths by Narses in 552
